Hi there! My name is Leah Collie, I am a podcast producer, editor and former host of two podcasts entitled Pretty Please? Podcast and Not Who We Used To Be Podcast. Both shows were passion projects of mine that were distributed on multiple platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and SoundCloud. After graduating with a BA in Television Production and Digital Media from Montclair State University, I went on to work for various publications include CBS' Inside Edition, Mashable, Thought Catalog and Insider. Soon after, I decided it was time to work for myself. I put all of my energy into my own two podcasts for three and a half years growing my brand. You’ve most likely entered “How to start a podcast” in the Google’s search engine and were probably bombarded with many websites and recommendations that sent your brain into a tizzy. From different editing softwares to microphones, it can be difficult figuring how just where to begin.
But it all begins with you.
In this course, we will go step by step on what you specifically need to launch your own show and to take off on your podcasting journey. I believe podcasting is an excellent outlet to tell the world who you truly are and to become your own boss.
With podcasting, you’re in control of what you want to say, what content you want to distribute and which outlets you want to distribute it to. In this course, you’ll discover your passions, how to be vulnerable when facing a microphone, how to interview and most importantly: what your podcast should be called.
You’ll discover your own niche, your target audience and how to promote and grow your brand. By the end of the course you’ll be ready to set off into the world and join the incredible podcast community.
