Remote ESL Teacher
My name is Melinda Taylor and I have over 6 years of online English as a second language teaching experience. I have taught students from around the world of differing ages and with different English-speaking abilities. I have taught formal lessons with textbooks. I have taught students business English, IELTS and OPIC lessons. I have taught mainly Korean adult students. I have taught informal lessons where I would utilize free resources for free talking conversation. I love teaching ESL online and sharing my knowledge of the United States. I love learning about other cultures and countries and I also love diversity. I have a passion for teaching ESL online and enjoy it. I allow my adult students to have a say in how their class with me is run. I believe doing that doing so is helpful and makes it easier to learn as well as more enjoyable. I look forward to working with and meeting my new students.
Hello! This is my story.
I have a 16 year old son, am a lifelong Christian, love church, singing, dancing, reading, eating, walking, watching movies and shows, writing poems, teaching English, and psychology. I am learning about how to help others who struggle with addiction, trauma, and/or abuse.
I have two younger brothers and many aunts, uncles, and cousins along with my parents. I live in North Carolina in the United States and have family in Massachusetts where I was born and raised, New York, and Florida. I have lived in Louisiana, too. I hope to travel outside of the U.S. someday.
