Class Description
We will experience the major steps involved in creating a landscape painting, working from a reference photo. Topics covered include composition, discerning and sketching basic shapes, value relationships, mixing and applying color, refining details, and more.

Class Supplies
9" x 12" primed board or canvas; Artist acrylic paint in the following colors: ultramarine blue, cerulean blue, white, cadmium yellow medium, hookers green, raw sienna, burnt umber, alizarin crimson, naples yellow, unbleached titanium; brushes for acrylic paint (not oil paint) similar to these; Grumbracher Brislette filberts in sizes 8, 6, and 4, and a round in size 2, and a round of any brand in 000 size (for very thin lines); A simple plastic palette, such as the clear lid of a 2 piece take-out food container or a round plastic food container lid at least 4” dia. that has raised edges; two cups for water; paper towels or napkins; pencil and eraser.
