Introduction to Severe Weather

Class Description

This course is designed to introduce you and educate you on the basics of severe weather, also known as “extreme weather”. This course will touch upon many areas but only lightly so that you are not overwhelmed with confusing terminology, scientific math formulas and hard to understand information. This course covers specifically weather that is of a “severe” nature and that would impact your life at any time and includes hurricanes, tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, flash flooding, safety and preparedness and more! My hope is that you will be more knowledgeable about planet earth’s extreme weather, possibly ignite an interest in pursuing the meteorology field and be better informed and prepared.
